    Howdee,

Newbee to garageband so some teething problems.

If anyone coould point me one of many good tutorials online, would be a good reply to this.

I'm hoping to print off some basic docs for future reference..

Wee problem number one: Recording stereo tracks

I've managed to record, but playback seems to only be left or right, though it looks like it's been recorded in stereo (you can see the 2 tracks/sound being recorded while recording).
I'm using an edirol ua 25 by the way..

Wee problem number two: Sound on Sound/overdubbing

I guess I'll figure it out eventually, but if I wanted to overdub a bum note for example, and give myself a lead in, it seems to overwrite whatever is recorded before the bum note...

    1. When you create a new track set the "Input Source" to mono in the Track Info column.

    2. It doesn't overwrite anything when you drop in, unless you record from the very beginning (even then you can drag in the old recording after). Move the mouse over the beginning or end of any region and you can change the length, it will reveal the original recording intact.

No need to download anything, the built in help is excellent. This is an Apple product after all! :)

yeah,i figured it out yesterday, but i still got to figure out how to overdub..
as in i wanted to give myself a lead in of a bar or 2, but it seems to overwrite the 2 bars previous to where i need to punch in the bum note..
