    Hello lads.
Does anyone know anything about meopta scopes. I have been offered a 3-12x50 second hand (genuine ) for about 600.They sound good and sound perfect for lamping and a bit of targetting.Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Well lads , i,m definately dubious about the price (600 ).I,m going to look at it tomorrow to satisfy my curiosity.I,ve looked at so many scopes on the net i,ll have no sight left to look through my purchase. For that money i can get a new bushnell or swift which i,ve seen very good reviews on.The 6-24x50 bushnell elite or banner look good or the swift 2.5-10x50 IR . I looked at a burris 6.5-20x50 a beauty but at 950 yo yo its a bit rough.Im mounting whatever i get on a tikka t3 lite and want to be ready for charlie in the autmn. Thanks in advance for any opinions on the above.

I think this scope runs about 650 on e-gun, in first or second focal plane.
Quality is just behind swaro, zeiss and S&B. similar to IOR but well ahead of some of the others mentioned.
I would use em no problem.

    Maybe 450 Euro's...

Hello edi . I could live with that. The seller told me i was paying for good glass and he,s never put me too far astray before.A bit of horse trading and a man could have a good deal. keep you posted.;)

Check if it is the 3-12x56 meostar R1 or the 3-12x50RD Artemis 2100.
    with or without illumination?
The illuminated 3-12x56 Meostar R1 in FFP runs at 698,- Euro

If money is no object, then spend away. Drop some cash and get yourself a nice Zeiss, S&B, ...

For the rest of us working class people, who will not drop a weekly paycheck on a scope, Burris is the best deal.

You will not find a clearer, quality, better light gathering scope than the Burris.

The Fullfield II's are the way to go
    http://www.burrisoptics.com/fullfield.html

For €600, I would recommend that Burris Fullfield II in 6.5-20 x 50mm with the illuminated mil dot reticle and parallax adjustment.

    Hello jamesomara.
Im a multi -millionaire carpenter who recently quit the coffin nails when they burnt a hole in the leather seat of the merc i carry my tools in.........
(just to put your mind at ease)
However your recommendation on a scope is perfect. I contacted Tannyoky guns in the north and was very very surprised at the price of your Burris or a leopold vx 3 in the same magnifcation. They are the same price as Opticswarehouse, and more than helpfull .I will be dealing there as the southern dealers are rubbing it in a little too much. Thanks to all for very sound advice, and give the north a try for your next purchase .You will be quids in.:D
