Am pricing HRV for a 2970 sq ft house. Some companies are telling me i need wo units and some saying one unit. Anyone know about the sizing?

Basically companies that are advising two units do not have larger or higher output units in their product portfolio and companies with one unit have a device.

Do check the output of the units to ensure it has the capacity for your home size. Ask the companies to show the maths behind their assumptions.

HRV sizing is based on the volume of the house not the sq m. A particular HRV unit can handle a certain volume of air (or m3/hr). Once you know the overall m3 of your house then you will know how many units you need
