    cheers!

Its very powerful but takes a lot of configuring to get it right

If you have the time and energy go for it.

As previous post states, it is hard work to setup.
Having said that it is fantastic at what it can do.
For example if a certain event id is known to have a service restarted, SCOM can be configured that once the event id is seen, then restart the service. In a way it self heals ;-)

The reporting is very powerful as well, and with the R2 release you can now monitor unix systems as well as microsoft operating systems.

if you have any questions PM me, have used it quite a bit in the last two years...

    Hi Static/Sandleman,

Planning on deploying it over ESX infrastructure - a big project, as you know yourselves, it’s a case of getting the time to think about planning a project like this!
    Thanks for your input,
Will update when I get going
    Cheers
