I figure this could be a handy thread, could save a few hours thrawling through scrapyards (Not that there's anything wrong with it!)

    I'll start us off, I need a sliding door for a Primastar/Vivaro/Traffic.
Has anyone seen one of these vans in their local scrapyard??

    Thanks
    Seánie

Not great I'd think. I can see for a start that the car breaker I use any time I need a part (a very considerable sized outfit) is not listed on it. I'd be very very surprised if all (or indeed any I'm thinking) kept their inventory details for the vehicles they hold never mind the individual parts up to date on it. Really an truly I think if you need a part you are best to pick up the phone to make the enquiries.

There's some Audi's in the breakers in Kilcock in Kildare.

This is always the first place I look

www.autobiz.ie and enter the car make/mode in the red box on the left.

It gives the list of scappers with telephone numbers

I went here today for a rear window for a passat, couldn't believe how quickly they produced one. Just have a 'parts reception', really fast to source parts.
