Another winter record?

By my reckoning, yesterday (17th March) was the first time in well over 8 weeks that both the daily high and daily low temperatures recorded at Dublin Airport were above the long-term average for the time of year (high 14C, low 7).

For the first few days in March the daily high was just about average or slightly below average for the time of year. However, the daily lows were significantly below average due to the savagely cold weather.

Meanwhile, for the entire month of February both the recorded daily high and the daily low seem to have been below the long-term average on every single day.

Surely this is some type of record in itself?
