Is Fitch v Alves being overlooked?

Ever since this rematch was announced i have been really excited to see it. It's taken a little longer to get here with cancelations and such but finally we get to see it.

All the fanfare for UFC 111 has been for GSP v Hardy (at most No.4 in the WW division) and Mir v Carwin.

But the fight i'm looking forward to most is Fitch v Alves. I think GSP will steamroll Hardy. I think Mir v Carwin will end in the first 2 rounds either way.

But i can see Fitch v Alves being extremely competitive. Fitch is easily No.2 behind GSP, he has been for a number of years. Alves (IMO) is No.3.

It's just a pity for both guys that they can't live up to GSP's dominance.

Anyone else looking forward to this?

I cant wait for this fight!
Alves is a completely different beast compared to when they 1st fought and I can see him absolutely destroying Fitches legs with those scary scary kicks

Cannot wait for this fight will be interesting to see. Thiago's TDD is much better than what he showed against GSP. Going over for this event next Thursday so should be fun. Palhares vs Drwal on the undercard is one hell of a fight.

    As did his last one.

Sims got turned down for a fight with Big Tim after the commission said the fight "would not be competitive"

    Ouch! :(

No doubting that Fitch is a very effective MMA fighter, his record speaks for itself but his syle though is very boring to watch.I cant remember the last time i saw him finish a fight. That maybe why the fight is being overlooked somewhat. Any fireworks that happen in this fight will be by Alves,he's been out over a year so it'll be intereesting to see if ring rust plays a part
