Link to flickr original file ... as sad as it sounds I actually cant figure out how to embed the image and I know theres a thread on it but cant find that either. (as you can tell I dont normally use flickr - dont use any of them photo hosting sites)

Spotted this little fella yesterday (Wed) while out playing pitch and putt .... hoping to get back there at the weekend and try do some pics with my DSLR.

Nokia N97 ... I was lucky not to drop it into the water - had to stretch to get it as close to the water as possible - without frightening the fecker off.

Impressive from a Phone Camera. Just goes to show it's not the equipment that's the most important thing.

The glaring burn out from the reflection from the water is the only problem I can see. Wonder if you could reduce that to stop it drawing the eye away from the frog. Nice and sharp on the eye. Really like the shot.

Damn that's a stunning photo no matter whether it's from a camera phone or not.

Impressive quality for a phone! Was there much Post processing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,584 ✭✭✭PCPhoto

none - it was simply transferred via blutooth to the laptop and uploaded for C&C.

In the exif data it says you used Photoshop. Pretty sure a N97 doesn't produce 300dpi images straight off the phone cam either.

It's a bloody good photo for a phone. In fact I have not seen one better than this. Not that I've looked either mind :)

Great camera for a phone but even better picture, great that you got so close to get the shot.

hey, I'm just telling you what your flickr exif data says, it was run through photoshop, Mac version. Maybe you just resized it in there? it would still show up in the data.
