Dole/Job seeker's allowance question?

Wasn't sure where to put this so just posted it here...

I know that if a person lives at home and is under 24 their household income will have to be means tested in order for them to be eligible (ie. their parents income).

But what if a person is under 24 and living at home, and their parents probably earn just about enough so that they probably wouldn't be eligible for job seeker's allowance, yet their parents refuse to support them? Is there any way that such a person could become eligible?

    Thanks
