Currency Exchange Rates: EUR - USD 18th March 2010

    Hi All,

    I just did the calling and got the Eur to Dollar rates round cork. I only did the banks I can deal with without an account.

    EUR USD
    AIB 1400 1873.9
    rate: 1.339
    commission: 6.35
    Actual Rate: 1.332

    BOI 1400 1884.26
    rate 1.346
    commission: 6.35
    Actual Rate: 1.340

    CU – Cork 1400 1863.68
    rate: 1.331
    commission: 14.00
    Actual Rate: 1.318

    UB 1400 1848
    rate: 1.320
    commission: 2.54
    Actual Rate: 1.318

    Notes:
    • Commission dependant on amount of currency being bought.
    • Rates change daily.


    Just thought it could be a handy reference. If people were doing the calculating anyway it could be good to throw the values up here and it might save other people time? Course the rates change every morning but the commission wouldn't. The best thing would be for someone to set up the pumps.ie of currency exchange and save people the leg/finger work but no one seems to be bothered.

    A $36 dollar difference between the best and worst - on €1400.
    That'll get you a good meal over there - all for 10 minutes of your time.
    Be careful carrying all that cash over though !
