Terrible news. Big Star are the most criminally under-loved band in the world

I saw Alex in Whelans a number of years ago, and everyone was shouting "September Gurls" so he didn't play it.
What a underrated genius he was.
By the way sweetie just play them, you won't be disappointed.
    RIP

R.I.P... 'Thirteen' is of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard.

Chilton did some epic work in producing some amazing albums including the stuff he did for New Rose like the Gories album I Know You Be Fine.

    RIP Chilton

    Sad news:(

Pity he didn't love his big star career more was very dismissve of it sadly.
1 record was such a great album Chilton and Chris Bell(check out his solo album I am the Cosmos, stunning album) with songs like Feel, thirteen and ballad of El Goodo you can't go wrong. But my favourite record is Radio city is gritty but gentle with Chilton for me at his best which he never touched again songs like O my soul, Back of my car, she's a mover and the classic September gurls and you can hear its influence in amercian bands like The replacements and R.E.M and great scottish band Teenage fanclub. Third/Sister lovers their third album is a tough but great record with Chilton at his most edgy with songs like Thank you Friends and Kangaroo.

Every indie and rock fan should have these records
