I just know the damage of each Assault rifle. I refer back to it every now and then when I'm wondering about something.

I don't follow. Surely the damage of each bullet is the same regardless of whether you are host? Yeah, if you're not host, your bullets mightn't register as being a hit due to lag etc. But the damage level should still be the same I'd have thought?

When i'm hosting 2mb upload , and if your in the room , my ping to dublin is 16 ms, if there is an english person in the room ,my ping to england is 22-25ms , therefore you have a slight advantage when coming up against him as everything goes through me.
When i was on dsl sometimes ihad to fire 3-4 bursts with the m16, i wasnt missing ,you could see that i was hitting him (he would shudder) but now it only takes 1-2 bursts as my connection is stronger.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant about lag. But using the ACR over a SCAR doesn't matter if this is happening surely? If a bullet isn't hitting due to lag, using a Scar over an ACR won't change this.

Unless you mean that it's even more important for the bullets that do manage to hit even with lag, to do max damage.

Yes it is more important for the bullets that manage to hit to be more powerful.
I've tested this out in private matches with a few friends , i had m16 with stopping power , against a friend who had an acr with cold-blooded , he was hosting and although i was hitting him with the m16 , he would drop me.(afterwards he said that i usually hit him with 2 bursts, red screen etc but it still didnt matter)

I know you like maths so i sent you a f/r with my orginal account , and you also have my mate nitrox on your f/r list , have a look at kills/time played , then look at the accuracy for hits , and that will tell all.
His connection is 15 mg down /either 1 or 1.5 up
mine up to last week was 6 down /.5 up.
He mainly uses the acr , i mainly use m16/ak47
