Rolling fields

    So we've just moved house, and while the weather was dry, we decided to roll the fields; however my only dilemma was we did not have a tractor or roller..
    So I decided to drive around twenty acres and just roll it with the tyres on the jeep....

    Do you think this is an effective way?:D

    I swear to god i did it.
    and becuase it was so dry it didn't damage it at all!

    My father used to tell the story of instructing neophyte tractor pilots on correct rolling technique on sloping land: "Do the rolling going down the hill and go back up idle."
    Apparently, the ones who went off to try to implement this method generally didn't find a career in operating machinery. :D
