    Hi All,

I have been toying with the idea of running a pedicab at a few events during the Summer.

Does anyone know where you could find them for sale or rent?

Do you have to have any sort of licence to run them?

    Thanks

The most important thing from a legal point of view is insurance.

Some distinction can be made between those with three or fewer wheels (subject to the Road Traffic Acts) or those with more than three wheels (not subject to the Road Traffic Acts, but may be subject to other legislation).

I get the impression they really make their money from advertising, not fares.

Ya I reckon I could sort out the insurance handy enough but it seems to be very hard to come across any for sale on-line, even in the Uk.

I think they do all right on the fares as well, it is a novelty for drunk people always so you never know I guess.

One person said that they thought the cyclists rent them from a company for roughly €40 a day and thats how the company makes its money when you put the advetising on top of that.

Does anyone know anything about Pedicabs?

    Thanks

the ones you see around town during the day are eco cabs, they are free/make money puely off the advertising. They dont run at night for drunk people though so there could be a market there.

There are other pedicabs available at night. Usually half way up Grafton St you will see them.
