I've conditionally accepted a graduate offer. Paid deposit. Now, I'm thinking that it might be better for me to go somewhere else - for employment reasons. If I tell them now, might I get the deposit back, or will they just tell me to get lost? I've only been conditionally offered a place and conditionally accepted

Firstly, it depends on the University. Many though, expect you to pay your deposit to secure your place in the class. The only case where you will be refunded is if you do not meet the conditions of the offer.
