    Hey everyone.

I was looking around for a new TV (current one is old and only standard definition) and came across this on Komplett. The price looks pretty good for a 42" full HDTV, but I just wanted to ask for opinions on it. Honestly, I don't know much about TVs but what I'm looking for is something in full HD for playing video games & watching Blu-Rays movies. I've noticed from looking at TVs in shops that despite all being HD, there is still a difference in the quality of the picture. So, what should I be looking for in terms of specs?

    Thanks in advance :).

    Generally:

Reaction time: measured in ms. It's 5miliseconds on this, 2ms or 3 might make a slight difference.

Brightness: 500cd---this is Ok but you can get higher

Contrast: 30000:1 is the dynamic contrast, this is when the light comes on and switches off, you want the "real" contrast

Hz: most are 50/60hz--IMHO 100Hz and higher make films look fake, some viewers prefer higher hz rates though

I would`nt go for it, ratio is`nt great, I would`nt go any lower than 55,000:1
    Good enough for all formats...
