WW1 British Merchant Navy Discharge Books

    First post on the Forum, great to see it up and running :)

    My Grandfather served in the British Merchant Navy during WW1, White star Line to be precise.
    Below are some photos of his discharge books.

    He was all over the world and did many trans-Atlantic crossings, so in that respect he was lucky to survive.
    Many of the ships he served on were sunk during the course of the war.
    The names of these vessels can be seen in the Discharge Books and googled to learn of their eventual fate.

    hey interesting to see, my granfather also served in the british navy in the first world war, anyway i can try find out more about him and where he served ?
