Vodafone Mobile Broadband Cutting Out

What seems to work then is that if I close the window and open a new one I can access the net again.
Its not my computer because I had a 3 mobile broadband and this never happened. It only happens with the vodafone stick.
Any ideas why this is happening? I do have the stick connected to a Dovado router but I have the same problem when the stick is connected directly to the laptop.
