My JSB is due to run out in the first week of April. To date I haven't got a letter to inform me of such with the form to fill out to apply for JSA.

When did other people here get theirs? Should I have got it by now?

I got mine 3 weeks prior to it running out, you'll either get it by end of this week or it may also be there waiting for you the next time you sign on(has happened to a good few people)

Thanks I just got it today. Do I just hand it in personally to my local office or post it in? I'm guessing I'll have to queue to make an appointment first?

Hi, I dropped my JSA application into reception. You'll get a letter in due course asking you to attend an interview with a DSFA inspector.

Just note that in some areas, there seems to be a backlog in processing JSA applications - even if you've just come off the 'JSB' system, your JSA is treated as a new application.

I had my interview at the end of February and my application is still in process, according to DSFA (I'm in Cork). My JSB ran out last week so I've applied for supplementary payments through my Community Welfare Officer (just takes a week or so to set up) until my JSA comes through.

    Hope this helps!
