Hi there, this is employers who are generally setting up email accounts for the purpose of advertising a specific job, i don't think its a scam as such although i would strongly recommend you email them initially expressing an interest only and advising you will submit your resume on a response, for example inquire a little about the Job, location and mention your experienced in the particular field.

Companies or recruitment agencies generally stick to the main Job sites and give lots of info without mentioning where the Job is, this said and probably to keep costs down some are using Gumtree to advertise jobs. I have applied for some Jobs but only using the route i suggest, i have received responses on some occasions and duly submitted my resume and personal details.

There are sadly lots of examples of recruitment agencies posting ficticious jobs in an attempt to harvest CV's so always be cautious.

I would be very skeptical of any job advertisement that just has such a generic gmail address as the only point of contact.
Its more then likely either an unethical recruitment agency or a phishing tactic.
After all, knowing someones name, date of birth and address is usually enough to get a copy of their birth cert and from there its a short trip to a passport in their name.

Hence the advice given, i never put my address or DOB on any resumes, even to a reputable recruitment firm (if theres such a thing)
