Why does English sausage's taste like crap? Is it because there pigs are crap or because they dont cook them right?

I used to eat sausages raw when I was a kid

I didn't remember it, but when one of my aul mans particularly redneck friends came into the house and spread a raw sausage over nice brown bread I, naturally, gave him a bit of sh1t
Then the aul man told me that i used to do the same and it flooded back

But it's all pre-cooked anyway so its cool

If you dont mind eating a tube of pig warts and foreskin...

How can raw sausuage (or any other raw product for that matter) be pre-cooked? It's one or the other.

    sausage is the end product
The meat that goes into it is precooked.

Hicks Sausages are the best in Dublin.

Bang cafe serve them but you can buy them in Fallons.

    100% Pork, no fillers.

In Summer they sometimes have a barbeque outside the shop. Good times.

    Really?

Never seen that, have bought Hot Dogs from them in Temple Bar market on a Saturday.

O'Tooles in Terenure also do 100% Pork Sausages but as they use Organic Meat, they are quite expensive.

Bobo's breakfasts also use Hicks and their Burgers are O'Tooles Beef & Lamb.

Oooohh yeah... I was working in Dun Laoghaire last year before I got recessioned and it made for a fine lunch if you got a roll and some free sausages to put in it... I'm hungry now.

They only did it a few times as far as I know, but what times they were...

    Ah now, Pete.
Fair enough they're made of foreskin, but...

    And beef lamb?
    WHAT IS THIS?!

Bought 'Irish Recipe' sausages in asda last year, possibly the foulest sausages I've ever had, was like the filler in a cheap sausage roll. You wouldn't be able to sell the emulsified pork offal tubes they sell here at home. The meat and dairy over here are just muck compared to home.

    GBK also do lamb Burgers.

I notice that BoBo's is now opening till 4am at the weekends also.

I reckon its what you are used to. I always shopped in Sainsburys in England and their sausages were better than you get in Ireland. I always moan that to get decent sausages here you have to spend a fortune.

And Denny sausages ffs, they are an insult to the name.

I like Hicks though, very good sausages.

Same reason Irish sausages are **** - they're all gristle and rusk. I don't know how anyone can stomach those excuses for sausages.
