Home Voice Recording Question

Hey Guys, more of a lurker than a poster here, but needed advice and thought it best to ask the experts. Its more of a voice question than music but i'm looking for a cheap enough desk to hook up to a mic and pc for some home voice recording/production. Or would it be best to just get a usb type mic? Cheers guys!

Lots of soundcards will push phantom power as well...
