I don't know about you, but the cost of servicing a car is mad. Ok I know we need to keep them tuned but I paid €375 for a full service on a Ford Focus last week. Does that seem reasonable? or have you paid more for a service on your car. on top of that here are a few more expenses also.

    oil change
    plugs
    oil filter
    air filter
    engine tuning
    Full service
    nothing else done.

    N.C.T €50
    Insurance€400
    Tax x 6 months €210 approx
    fuel per week; €60
    Tyres €250 every 2 years

The expense goes on and on, and this is only March!

There are no set prices, but 375 quid sounds expensive, unless it had brakes/plugs etc.

Can you tell us what the service included?

Full service yet no mention of pollen filter being changed, brake fluid being renewed, gear box oil being changed, if those full service items were covered then yes it was worth it.

Very pricey alrite. Was it a main dealer. Find when your dealing
with garages ask for a price up front on whats gonna be done
to your car, ring around a few different places.

375 sounds a bit pricey.... but it depends on what you got done....
can you list out any extra's and what was included in the work done...

Also did you get a price before the work started ... or did you just drop the keys in and ask for a full service......

ford main dealer, Ford parts, Car was overdue full service.
I'm sure everything was done that needed doing, I'm happy with the Service , just the price I thought was expensive.?

but how can you think it was expensive when you dont know what was done?

it could be cheap for all we know.
have you got a list of what was done?

I got my car recently serviced in an Advance Pitstop garage.
Don't think it was a full service but they said they do a lot of this (35 in total to be precise).

It costs 185eur and you also get 1 year free AA membership. I found it pretty reasonable...
