caterpiller teleporter

    im lookin at a '04 caterpiller teleporter that wont change gear properly.it was workin perfectly on sunday and on monday it was faulty. ive checked all fuses and all are fine.
    It wont select first and second gear in either forward or reverse. it selects 3rd and 4th fine in both directions. ive tested the solonides on the gearbox and it receives power to the 3rd gear solonide when selected and 4th is the same. theres no power at the first and second gear solonides.
    Where do i go from here? it would unusual for both solonides to fail at the same time, wouldnt it?

    Make sure the system voltage is ~ 13.5, low voltage/duff alt will give you these symptoms.

    checked the charging system, all ok 13.9v. got a man from caterpillar out with the diagnostics to plug into it and he said theres a sensor on the gearbox gone wrong. should have it sorted on monday
