Hi all,Ive an Inspiron 1545 and was wondering what kind of a cable I would need in order to connect to my TV which is HD. Laptop seems to have some kind of video out socket on it and my question is would it be this socket I would be using or one of the 3 USB connections?

It will either be a HDMI cable you will need or a VGA plus audio out cable.

Though i'm almost sure that the 1545 only supports VGA out.......

So you would need a male to male VGA cable and a audio jack out cable

Yeah their is no HDMI output on the Lappy so looks like the VGA is the way to go,any ideas as where to get one and what kind of cost I'd be lookning at?
    Thanx for your help BTW

Its around ten euro, peats, maplin,pc world, 3.5mm audio to rca stereo out, 2 rca male.3euro .OR any pc shop.see your pc ,re pc input, resolution,REFRESH RATE
or use 720p,or 1024x768 resolution, refresh rate 60mhz.
my HDTV tv only accepts 60megahertz max from pcs.
YOU USE FN PLUS F5 or some f key to turn on vga out to a tv,or monitor.
USB IS NOT A VIDEO interface.
google connect pc to hdtv vga.
