PlacePot paid £2,750 after the Tote took approx 27% out of the pool! :eek:

A piece of advice to people doing Placepots.
Try and do it with a bookie that does not participate into the pool
(obviously has to be one you could trust).
The reason is if you do it with someone who puts it into the pool, then this will count as one of the winning dividends if you get it up, if you do it with a bookie that doesn't participate, your winning unit doesn't count.

Easy Example:
Bookie participates: Pool is 100,000 after deductions and 2 winning units (one is yours) so divi is 50,000 each

Bookie doesn't participate Pool is 100,000 after deductions and 1 winning unit (as yours isn't in the pool) so divi is 100,000 to the person who won it and you collect 100,000 from your bookie (hopefully )
