I play a wind and rain track at night to help me sleep but over the last couple of days my PC has started picking up LW radio, I couldnt believe it at first and spent ages looking for a portable that had accidently been knocked on but there was none - it's my pc, it not crystal clear but you can hear fuzzy voices talking - usually about soccer,

Is there anything I can do about this its a bit of a pain. It's definatley not any SW running on the sly its just the pc acting like a radio.

It is probably the PC speaker themselves that are picking up the signal through the wires acting like an antenna pretty much a crystal radio for all the world, do you live near any large transmitters?

Not really much you can do AFAIK, bar moving the speakers / coiling up the cables to see if that helps.

If still no good maybe these might help.

May or may not work well I have never needed anything like that on PC speakers myself

    I've heard of this before.
A church in England had police radio coming over its speakers in mass when turned on for the congregation.
(There was a news report about it in the media)

In the meanwhile, have a look at this these:

There might be a solution there amid the ideas proposed.
