As most of you probably know, the people of Wootton Bassett have taken it upon themselves to represent the nation in showing their respect for the fallen British troops in Afghanistan.

on Sunday, British bikers thought they would give some thanks back.

Do they collect money for a charity or something on these events ?

They raised money for Help for Heroes, quite a lot I believe.

each biker paid £5.00 to participate. Very sunny day. One biker hurt in an accident and had to be airlifted to hospital. Lots of people in the town to cheer and surprisingly quite a few people dotted around the outlying roads to view the bikers.

Did he say the smell of diesel was overpowering?

I only know of 1 Bike that is fuelled by diesel, and that is not yet in commercial production...

It's properly the smell off their own generator for powering the Sat truck.

The anchorman commented on that at the end. Asked people to write in if they knew of any diesel powered bikes!!

I guess the reporter is not a petrol head!

Well it just goes to show how the British state cannot afford to look after it's soldiers when they have to ask for charity handouts from the British public.
