Cheers,I'll have to pop in tomorrow and have a look.
The Blu-Ray selection in Cork is abysmal I've yet to find a shop with a good range,is it the same around the country or is it a Cork thing?

I'd say it''s just the fact nobody has bluray players.

You're either naive or seriously mis-informed.

    HMV sure have great offers:

I was in Gamestop today (Waterford) browsing their blurays, they were selling The Bourne Supremacy for €21.99 "used", i went home and ordered The Complete Trilogy online from HMV for €23.00.

I checked several of Gamestops blurays against HMV and they seem to be robbing us blind in Gamestop.

the bluray selection in Waterford is terrible. i was in hmv in Kilkenny last week and i was shocked with the amount they had, i've never seen so many blurays

Completely off topic but it seems that companies arent really pushing Blu Ray as much as DVD was pushed at its launch. I dont know why really, After all the majority of people out there have HD tv's and never get HD content. My girlfriends parents recently got a new HD tv and sky (standard sky+ box) and they thought because they had a HD tv everything was HD, Her father called me in to admire the quality of the picture (I have sky hd), I was like "ehhhhhhhh ok". I couldnt bare tell him that it wasnt actually HD let alone go through the explanation of why this isnt HD.

I'd pay money to be a fly on the wall at that explaination!!!

There is actually a good selection of Blu-ray discs in the Cork HMV store, it's just that usually any offers I see posted here for HMV aren't in the Cork store

Anyway I usually get better deals online :pac:

oh how i wish that HMV would open a store in Waterford, ordering from them online is all good, but theres nothing like just walking in and getting it there and then.

They'd easily put all the other crappy stores in waterford out of business. :D

I saw the Mummy trilogy on Blu-ray in HMV on Grafton Street for €16.99 on Sunday

well going from crappy cable tv like NThelL to Sky was a vast improvement for us and so would feel like we were getting HD

I think the selection in Cork is terrible,It's nearly always cheaper online but it's nice to be able to pop in to a shop and pick up a disc as well.

What pisses me off about the Cork store is the lack of a dedicated shelf, your forced to turn your head as you can only see the side of the case. Very frustrating if your just browsing and IMO thats whats keeping their sales down. All those 3 for 2 offers are impulse buys half the time, if you cant see the stickers on the front of the boxset then you wont notice the offer. Its stupid

Well compared to any other store in Cork, then again that doesn't say much does it ;)
