I already put up a post to the boxing thread but am sure this will interest the martial arts guys , I got insured at the weekend with this crowd who are covering for any sport without restriction or loading , for 24 euros a month and if you spend a night in the hospital they'll pay you, then if you break any bones they give you a lump sum and loads more , they don't seem to care how you got damaged they pay out anyway.
A few of my Polish friends have it for ages but I only just found out when a guy called to my door on saturday morning .
So if anyone wants to find out more " Combined Europe " 0851224944.

You don't really expect anyone to contact do you based on that crazy info you just posted?

If you have details of a company providing insurance cover that hands out lump sums and pay cheques please post the details up.

These guys are called " Combined Europe " they give accident cover without any restrictions 24/7 365, as long as it was an accident , and they consider any damage done while participating in any sport or other activity as an accident .
They pay you for every night you spend in hospital from the first night. ( on my level E24 a month ) E200 and for twice as many days spent in the hospital they pay you to recover at home E140 per day, if I break a small bone finger ,toe, nose they pay a lump sum E300 any other bones in the body arm leg etc. E1500
If I have to have surgery lump sum E1000 ( you don,t have to spend a night in the hospital to receive these.)
Loss of life E20000 they have a couple of different levels up and down.
    They pay YOU by check.
It works in all Europe the U.S, Canada,Australia and New Zealand
The guy will come to you to explain it . his number is 0851224944.

Combined insurance is good (C.I.C.E.) - I'm with them for years and I'd recommend them.
A lot of my fighters are with them also.

Well I think its great cover , will pay me if I get laid up again , which happened to me before , I didn't get paid from work so need something to cover my rent and utilities next time .I think all fighters should cover themselves with this. The guys name is Gar and he'll come out to where you live or work and explain all the options. 0851224944.

I recently sustained a martial arts injury & have had an accident policy with Combined Insurance for the last 4 years paying over €80 per month in fees.

I sent in a claim form outlining a severe neck injury & was told it would take at least 20 working days to process.

20 working days later I received a letter which I mistakenly thought was a cheque. It wasn't....

It was a new claim form as they said my GP had ommitted to tick one of the boxes on the previous one. I asked how long it would take to process this minor error correction & was told to expect to wait for another 20 working days. I was spoken to on the phone very abruptly & find their level of service thus far to be wanting at best. I was told in not so many words that I'd have to wait in the queue again like everybody else. I suggested that it was ridiculous to be asked to wait for so long to have such a simple error corrected but was told again very abruptly that this is their system & I'd just have to wait.

I have contacted their relevant departments outlining my dis-satisfaction with their apparent lethargy when it comes to dealing with claims. I'll keep you informed of my progress.

I had. Student who broke his arm and had a steel plate bar attached. He went to the mater a&e the whole lot public cost him E50. He missed a couple days work. That's 2 months fees Of the above insurance for something catastrophic. Insurance is a rip off. Pi is necessary for the asshole students who want to sue and make a buck because they break a nail on a fullcontact environment. We get covered up to £5000000 instructor Inc claims against and £5000000 student injury under bccma membership the general member pays £38 a year and the instructor £80 a year. So the member get his treatment paid for and the instructor pi covers Loss of income. This is specifically martial art insurance, not general accident so obviously claims are rare if hey can make a profit on this but then again we're not payong for the general accident claims merchant.
In 15 years of practice I've only experienced one individual try to sue the club. His insurance went after the building owners insurance not us.
As for general accident insurers paying out without assessment that means you will be paying for every clown who slips on a pavement, floor walks into glazing etc. No thanks, I pay enough in tax to bail out fraudsters
    Just food for thought!

"I already put up a post on the boxing thread" - I has 4 posts. two which are in this thread, a third which is one in the boxing forum. me not a spammer honest.

if you believe this guy then I have some other ways that you can part with your money in my spam folder.

My brother used to be a sales rep for Combined. Basically its all commission driven selling. The sales rep get something like first 6 months of subs as commission and a percentage of anyone under them of the subs they get.

People are who sign up find it hard to cancel it as they are afraid that they will get injured etc.

My brother didn't have a policy even though he told everyone he was selling to he had. He even sold the same policy to the same person twice.

There is no such thing as free payout if you get injured. You will hear loads of bad stories.

Have a good private insurance that covers physio trips etc . I pay 30 for physio and get 25 euro back for 25 trips a year, similar for GP etc etc. Work pay for mine but I sure make use of it and claim the remainder with my med1 so I only pay 3-4 euro for physio trips.
