Under 25.4 is a strange question, you need a pretty exact match so better off specifying the exact size you need. May need a calipers to work it out? I don't know though.

I figured that was the response i'd get but thought i'd post it anyway

What is the context- you have a 25.4mm seatpost and it won't quite fit? But nearly does?

Basically the seatpost i checked with (from an 05 fuji track, for which i can never find the specs i want) is too big, but without a calipers i can't say to a certainty whether it's a 27.2 or a 25.4, so maybe i'm jumping the gun looking for something smaller than 25.4, it does seem unlikely that it requires something smaller than that.

Ok so i think i'll adopt occams razor and presume i need a 25.4, now to check the adverts section. Thanks blorg, my head is filled with entropys and universal gas constants

If I was you, I'd bring it to your local LBS and get them to measure the dia of the seat tube internally with either a calipers or a seat post measure tool.
It'll save messing with future wrong sizes!
PS, I got a digital calipers from Aldi a while back and it's great for stuff like this!

I know, this would without a doubt be the clever thing to do. but i really dislike going to my lbs' for some reason...
