    Guys,

I have an NCT booked for this weekend but some scumbag has knocked in my rear light cluster(if thats what they are called).Basically You can see one of the bulbs.
I've replaced the damaged bulbs and for now have sellotape across it to try and keep it dry.
Not sure Im gonna be able to get a replacement by the weekend so I'm assuming that will be fail anyway.

But will that be covered under the visual recheck and thus not incurr a retest fee(assuming all else is okay)?

Also if anyone knows where I can get a cluster for a 2001 A4 let me know :D

Yep, it should be a free visual re-test. I actually got mine through the NCT with some of that light repair tape (basically coloured sticky tape), but mine was just cracked, not broken like yours.

Try some breakers for the spare part, and it's always worth asking Audi themselves. I'd say if you got on the case first thing tomorrow, you should get a new light by the weekend.

eBay might be worth a look as well.

The retest will be a visual inspection and won't cost. You'll have a month to get the retest done so go for it - it'll be cheaper than a 'no-show'.
