Advice on how/where to buy a wii

Hi all. Want to buy a Wii for a friend but am pretty clueless about all the various options. Have found a package for €257 which includes: Black Wii Console + 1 Nunchuk + 1 Wiimote + Wii Motion Plus + Wii Sports Resort - Limited Edition + Wiimote + Wii Motion Plus - black [WII] + Nunchuck Wii Controller

I guess I am looking for a bit of advice on whether that's a good bargain or otherwise. Are all the bits included in that the bare necessities, or would I be better off going for a more basic pack and adding wii fit or whatever?

    Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks.

Having just bought a wii, the part in bold is €179.99 on its own, so you're paying about €77 just for the 3 extra controller components. I'm sure they can be found cheaper than that?

Aren't Smyths selling it for €179.99?

EDIT: Sorry.. Dave mentioned that. I just chose to ignore it! :P

I bought the base package (same as indicated above) with 3 games for €209 from HMV about a month back. But sold on the 3 games for €38 to Gamesnash.

Aha, so looks like I would definitely be better off going with the base package and shopping around separately for the rest. From both of your responses, i'll take it that 179.99 is a fair price for the base pack, so i reckon heading to Norn Iron would probably only be false economy (not to mention anti-patriotic etc etc!)

    Thanks guys

Even up in "Norn Iron", Argos are selling it for £179.99 (that's sterling)!

€179.99 is a great price for it... but do prepared to be shafted for the controllers so take that into consideration if you do wanna go for the package including controllers. Bought a Wii Motion Plus + Nunchuk and it was €55 from Zavvi - that was the cheapest I could find it!
