Is there any method of sterilizing orthodontic braces naturally without the use of chemical tablets and the associated aftertaste?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Yorky

I am presuming this is a brace you take out of your mouth!

It cannot really be sterilised, more like disinfected. It is usually enough to brush off any debris with warm soapy water a few times a day. Lemon juice, fresh or bottled, also works too I am told. The alternative is retainer brite which doesnt have the strong taste of denture cleaning tablets but there is still a taste i'm afraid

Yes, it's a removable brace. I'd prefer to use a natural 'disinfectant' than a chemical.

Brush the brace with a toothbrush and some tooth paste and rinse under cold running water.
