Replacing Saab 93 Rear Lense

Introduced the car to a gate post at the weekend. Broke the rear lense. I've been told that Saab dont sell the lense but the whole lamp itself. I can get the lesne from a breakers yard. Any one know if its possible just to replace the lense (ie the plastic bit)?
