Yesterdays Bumpers

    Anyone smell a rat after the bumpers in Limerick and Navan yesterday?

    Mullins sent Lios a Choill and his son down to Limerick (once muted as a Cheltenham horse). Drifted wildly from 4/5 out to 6/4 and never put in a run, up in Navan then they had JP Magnier doing a steering job on Aughaloor who was backed into 3/1 in the morning and drifted out to 5/1 on course.

    this is what mullins said on facebook last nite

    Willie Mullins i've had quite a relaxing day in Chelt, i watched racing on At the Races in a friends house, all ran well, Patricks bumper horse blew up but the bumper horse in Navan won well for JP Magnier who was looking for something to get him in shape for his ride in Wednesday's bumper...

    then 20 mins later


    Willie Mullins my 1st 2 loads of horses all here in Cheltenham and seemed to have travelled well... Mourad not going in the Coral Cup...

    This fellow won his bumper 12 months ago at Fairyhouse in good style and the plan had been the Cheltenham Bumper. However, he suffered a setback and we decided that we would give him as long as he wanted to fully recover. The aim now is to come to Cheltenham for the bumper with him, 12 months later than originally planned. I am not at all worried about the lack of a recent run and he should be an interesting contender.


    now could it have drifted because it was its first run in 12 months after an injury -

    thats why horses blow up -unfit

    willie didnt make him morning price fav the bookies did - look up recorded bets and you will see no decent wagers ,thats prob why it drifted
