Anyone got an engine crane they can lend me over Easter?
Or can you reccomend somewhere to hire one?
The engine is 260kg -smallblock chevy- and I live in the Greystones area.
    Cheers, Shaggy.

Or if it's any easier, I've one up in Roundwood you're welcome to have a loan of for a couple of days.

Hills up in Cabinteely/Deansgrange have one to hire. It's ****e, as it's missing bits, so save your money and get one of ours instead. :D

    Its the business:D

I currently have the engine out of my Mustang, its getting the full paint and dress up too.
Freeze plugs were rusted anyway so it had to come out.

Yeah It's a looker allright , looks even better with the nice chromed headers I have for it. It'll be going in my 79 Chevy campervan which I'm making into a 70s style custom van.
I'm gonna put windows in the engine cover so you can see it from the inside of the van!
Hi5 let me know how you get on with your re-build maybe a photo blog on it ????
I’ll be doing a rebuild on the engine that comes out of the van and either selling it on or maybe just maybe dropping it into my scimitar!!!!!

Fair play to you. Put a zip on the side and you"ll be able to make toast on the manifold!!!!

The windowed engine cover will just be for shows I'll have a regular one to for driving. Don't want to melt the perspex or overheat the cab in the summer.

Its not a rebuild Shagman its ok internal.good compression ,no smoke, pulls strong.
The plan is to just clean up whats there and give it a coat of VHT paint.
I'll also give it a smattering of chrome and a few pieces I've collected along the way.
All the aluminimum will be wire brushed and a coat of VHT laquer to protect it.
