    charges could be:

    Theft
Making a gain and causing a loss
    Deception
    Fraud

Depending on your circumstance: you'd probably end up prosecuting for Theft and Making a gain and causing a loss. In any event, you need to report to the Gardai who inturn will send a file to the DPP who will decide on the charges/(s), if any.

As a prosecution matter, it's a fairly straight forward case to deal with. V difficult to defend , unless the defence of 'honest belief' is present
