Grey crow with .22lr?

    Hey there, i have a load of Greys on one of my permissions and they need to be dispatched.
    Can anyone give me some pointers as to the best way to do this. Some advice from JohnGalway would be much appreciated!:D

    Create a nice attraction.....hide up....22lr.....job done....good sport.

    Some of the lads around here are using traps but I dont see the sport in that.

    a lot of people here dont use traps for sporting reasons, i use mine to keep them away from the sheep feed and poultry feed, shooting them everyday would be costly, but shooting crows is good fun :D

    I used to use a .22/250 on greys.... before the recession:(

    Use anything you like, just make sure you have a safe backstop. Bait them into your kill zone with a bit of roadkill.

    I have shot many of these buggers with my standard .22lr.
    as said before make sure you know whats behind your target first.
    good tip is to use some mince meat as bait and a caller that sounds like a distressed rabbit,or even use a real rabbit you have already shot with the caller.just setup and hide and you will get lots of greys/crows.magpies etc.
    very enjoyable too.
