Connecting PC to TV

I've just bought a little dell optiplex. It only has a DVI out (no VGA). I want to be able to bring it down to my parents house in the country and connect it up to the old CRT tv there (which only has scart).

I used to do it with my old laptop that an S-video out. I have an s-video to RCA phono lead and a RCA/scart adapter.

The trouble is, looking up on ebay I can't seem to find a DVI -> RCA cable (apart from the RGB HD ones which I think are no use to me). What's the best way to do this?

    Cheers

The adapter may not work, in the ebay listings it reads " NOTE: Your display system must support component video (Y, Pr, Pb) signal output function in order for the image to display properly. Please consult with your VGA card's user manual for more information. "

Generally if there is no s-video output component on you graphic card your graphic card won't support component video (Y, Pr, Pb) signal output function. These leads work very well on the DVI ports on graphic cards providing there is a s-video port beside it.

I made this mistake in the past and bought one for a dvi port when no s-video was present .....it didn't work , but it may be ok for your optiplex

not sure how that cable could work unless their are some electonics along the way that cant be seen in the ad...
you would need a grpahics card, if its going to CRT, get an old AGP geforce 6200 or 5200 and you will be fine.
unless its the really little one and you might only have 1 PCI slot, you will then need a PCI graphics card but the principle is the same.

if you cant do any of that you will need some sort of converter, for example
