Waiting for 4.0 firmware just takes too long

    Has anyone any idea when this is going to go public? Surely someone has been tinkering with the 3.1.3 and breaking it....

    Crashed my iPhone last week, with nothing hashed to Sauriks server, and now have to run 3.1.3, and it sucks :(

    Ah crap. Unjailbreaked is FTL right now. Phone feels so unutilized :(

    Is it a 3GS ?
    Are you 100% CYDIA ( Saurik) didn't save your SHSH , reason I ask is I have helped a couple of people who didn't even know they had saved on CYDIA Server but had , lot of people can't remember answering the option when they 1st installed CYDIA .... Just a long shot ?

    Yes, it's a 3Gs. I too am not so sure the SHSH was cached to Sauriks server. What would happen if I tried to wind back the Firmware but I hadn't my SHSH saved?

    It is practically impossible to brick the 3GS . If you run into trouble then a restore will get you back to were you are now .... If a restore won't cause you a problem then try this :

    It should error out( bar the noted error) if not working

    if it does not work then just reverse everything you have done on your P.C and a restore on your phone should get you back to your current setup.

    I'm running Jailbroken 3.1.3 on my 3GS right now. I had previously had my 3.1.2 jailbroken with Blackra1n but I wanted to upgrade so what I did was I used Pwnage Tool to Pwn the 3.1.3 firmware and then used that to restore, I never touched Apple-approved 3.1.3. The reason I wanted to upgrade was that i was afraid I'd accidentally upgrade to Apple-approved 3.1.3 by clicking the pop-up in iTunes and losing my Jailbreak forever so I actively went about upgrading with Pwnage tool.

    I'm not sure but I think this might only work for earlier-baseband iPhone 3GS's and not new ones; however I think if you used Blackra1n to jailbreak on 3.1.2 I think it downgrades your baseband anyway so my method above should work although I can't guarantee anything!

    O2 Ireland are unlocking iPhones now, if you meet certain criteria. I'm not sure if this helps you but it won't do any harm to check it out.

    I tried mixednuts method and it wont work. Can't rememeber the error, but it was the same as what you had in your post. Will be at home and post the error.

    What I really need is to go Jailbroke. Phone is just not the same in default.

    Post the error and at what stage you get it ..... Sounds like your hash files ain't with CYDIA :(
