Can you eat swan meat

    I passed about 30 swans on a pond near Mullingar last weekend. Is there an obscure law against killing them. Could they be bred as food. Did any of you ever eat swan.?

    I think theres some rule in england

    I have had swan on holiday and absolutely loved it,

    I wouldn't go killing one nor risk getting kicked by one for it though

    i heard something about some foriegn nationals getting chased by farmers here in athlone, apparently they were out hunting swans.

    It's illegal to eat swan in the UK, Only the royal family are allowed eat it.
    That's a fact, check it out.
