Anyone use Traktor with a MIDI keyboard?

I just picked up an Oxygen 8 v2 yesterday, I got it both for production, and control decks 3&4 of Traktor until I get a proper controller.

I downloaded the DJTechTools mapping, but it seems to be full of bugs, so I'm left with having to map it myself. Just wondering if anyone on here uses a 2 Octave keyboard to control Traktor, and how they have it mapped?

Just wondering if you ever got this to work?

I'm trying to map an Oxygen 49 midi keybard to Traktor but I'm struggling to do so. I have the TSI file loaded into Traktor but still none of the keyboard keys are triggering anything.

Its not a good idea to be honest. Maybe for tinkering around but not for full usage. You basically have a line of linear keys, no feedback (LED or otherwise) and the chance of hitting the wrong key is massive. The only non-knob/fader controller I would recommend is the LaunchPad. At least you have some color feedback in the form of LED's and it can be split into quadrants, so you can visualize better.

Keys may be of use for launching clips / remix loops but I'm pretty sure you can't map to do so.

Thanks' folks - I figured it out and was able to map the keys/knobs/faders to what I needed using the learn function.

I've never used a midi controller or Traktor before so I don't want to invest in a dedicated midi controller just yet. Going to have a play around with it and see how I go.
