Ipod - transferring music from ipod to itunes

Feel like a fe*ckin ejjitt but for the life of me I can't figure out how to transfer music from my ipod onto my itunes library in case something happens to the ipod and all me music with it. Thanks

ya can only transfer music to an ipod, ya cant do it the other way round, download sharepod, ya can make a backup of the ipod or else just copy all the songs on it to a folder of ur choice
