jailbroken/blackrain iphone on vodafone - what happens when O2 unlocks it

1- will the jailbreak and my jailborken apps be lost??
2- will it automatically update the firmware to the latest losing the jailbreak


i reckon i can get the guy i bought it off to ask O2 to unlock it, he'll have the 150euro topped up no doubt

i wouldnt bother if its already jailbroken, the unlock wont benefit you unless ya want to sell it

well the aim would be to sell it at some stage so yeah it would be important for me to try and get the phone unlocked

well on the o2 forum it says after ya unlock it, ya need to restore the iphone, i'm not sure if it will update it but i'd suppose it will

if you have a 3gs, hit the make my life easier button in cydia front page
when your turn comes to unlock, even if you have to update to 3.1.3 we dont know yet, you will lose all your jb stuff,
but you will then be able roll back your phone to 3.1.2 and re jailbreak your phone will still be unlocked

don't bother unlocking it now, you don't need to. If you want to sell it, then restore it in itunes, get it unlocked and it doesn't matter about your jailbreak as you selling it anyway...
