How accurate are motor check sites? Should they give correct colour of a car.? Checked a green car on 3 sites, the free basic check, and each time it is said to be white. It is an old car. I presume the colour was not notified to car registrations. But it is unusual fro a colour to be wrong

They are as accurate as the information they are aware of from the car in question. If you crashed the car yourself and repaired it yourself, then the damage will never show up on these car check sites unless you told them which you probably wouldn't anyways if you were trying to flog it.

IMO, you don't always get that much useful information, even after paying your money over. I've done a few searches, and yes it says stuff like NCT expiry, Tax expiry, Tax band - but you can find all these things with a phone call to the relevent authoritys office anyway.
In the majority of searches I've done, Under odometer I get "No Mileage stored in the database for this vehicle". And mileage is the most important thing you want to verify ! They are accurate with the limited information that they have - but is seems to be fairly limited information in my experience.

Considering Ireland has no official classification of written of cars any check here is close to useless in that regard. We need to follow the UK.
