    Hi all,

I'm in a bit of a fluster. I have a rectangular shaped kitchenin a new build house, electrics done and plastered. I have planned units on both walls with a narrow island in the middle. I now want to move all my units to one side and have a much larger island with the opposite wall free from units. Is is too late to change my mind baring in mind that all the electrics are already done? the wall that would be left empty has 2 sets of double sockets and electric switch for oven on it as that is where I was going to put the oven. Am I mad to think about changing it now. I'm worried kitchen will be too cramped. No island is not an option. What do you think. Please advise. Need to make a decision very soon.

would it not look weird with an island in the middle but nothing on the other wall...why have the island in that case? Why not have units on both walls?
    How wide is the kitchen?

The kitchen is 3m 90 wide. I have always hated working in a kitchen looking into a wall. I prefer to have a centre area to work at. I have got over my notion. I am going to go ahead as planned but make the island a bit smaller. thanks
