I know very little about cars but am thinking of changing my current one ('96 1.4 polo) to something a little younger but equally economical. I don't do a massive amount of driving, just want something small, economical with reasonable mileage. I found this on carzone.ie and I'd just like some opinions on it. It looks decent enough but it's in Meath and I'm in
east Cork so don't want to make a trip for nothing.

    Thanks

Not bad IMO. Fine cars etc and the asking price isn't too bad. While you're there though, there's a Focus going kinda reasonable also.

Yup, not bad. You are however going from owning a Polo to owning a... Polo (the Fabia ia a Polo with a different body). I'd be thinking Focus 1.6 Zetec.

Thanks for replies. Yeah I know it's basically a poor man's polo but that's a positive imo, as the polo I currently own has been a super little car for me all along. I agree that the ford focus is a good deal too but money is very tight and I don't need a big car.

I'm not saying it's a poor man's Polo, I'm saying that Polos are general not fantastic in terms of drive or reliability. That Fabia is a good spec for the money though.
