Smallest Cycle Lane - What were they thinking?

    I pass this on my way to work and think what was the point. Its outside Des Kellys on the Glasnevin Road. The lane continues a couple of meters on after a double yellow line.

    Looks like the road was resurfaced and they didn't paint the cycle lane back in.

    On the plus side, that looks like a well finished seam between the old and new surface.

    Is it possible they kept it to prevent cars parking too close to the pedestrian crossing?




    Doh! What am I thinking! I see it's only an advisory lane. My bad.
