E74 on Modded console..

Right so, as title suggests, ive gotten the E74, one red light malfunction (2 days after buying ff13.. grr..)

Tried unpluggin everything (first remedy instructed) with no luck.

Other than the penny trick, is there an easier way to fix an e74? ie is it easier to fix than the full rrod?

Im weary bout the towel trick, but i guess a totally broken xbox is the same as just that red light.

And will it being modded be any problem? ive only got it modded for playing... certain games:rolleyes: so no major hardware mods..

first off dont do the towel trick.

just do a normal x box fix leave it for a bit turn it on and its a 50-50 if it will work again.

if it doesnt work try sell it on boards someone will buy it with the 3 red lights.

from experience once you do the fix and it doesnt work thats it its gone bye byes simple as that.

just buy another and Im sure one of the lads will mod it for you.

Ha didnt see this post early enough!

Took her apart, cleaned her (she was filthily dusty), Toweled her, and for the last four hours she was grand. then noticed what ive seen called te "red screen of death" ( :rolleyes:) and turned it off and on and lo and behold mr e74 again.

What are the actual specifics of the error? Ive seen it being a gpu error.. if so, is there a way to get a new gpu other than rippin it out of another xbox?

buddy once when ever one gets the 3 red lights they turn to you tube and then they do the towel trick.

They is no way to fix it now once you do the towel trick its gone it dusted simple as that buddy. I hate to tell yea.

but you could sell it on adverts dont know how much you'd get but. All you can do now mate is buy another.
